The Sanskrit word for the male sexual organ is Lingam and it is poorly translated as "Wand of Light". In Tantra, or sacred sexuality, the Lingam is viewed and honored with respect, like a "Wand of Light" which channels creative energy and pleasure.

Orgasm is not the goal of Lingam massage although it can be pleasurable and a welcome side effect.

The goal is to massage the Lingam, externally, also including the testicles and the perineum, allowing the man to indulge in a form of pleasure to which he may not be used to. From this angle, both the receiver and the giver relax through the massage.
